Time to take a break from Medhelp

by kiddthekatt, Jul 01, 2009 02:54PM
Hello Everyone;
  After a long and agonizing couple of weeks, I finally made a decision to take a break from Medhelp for a while. When I first found Medhelp, I was in so much need to find those who were suffering as bad as I, and it was a Godsend. But lately the site has taken a drastic change, and people are arguing and fighting, posts and journals are being deleted, and I find that I almost dread checking in. Maybe it's just me, but I honestly don't think so.

  Fibromyalgia has been a devastating disease and it's been one hell of a rollercoaster,  and until a couple of weeks ago I felt that I had very little to look forward to. I chose not to chase a treatment that could possibly take years to make a difference and chose to find relief with my doctors. It took almost 2 years but I feel that I have finally found me again. I have gotten off of most of the cocktail of meds that I depended on and now take a minimum of meds and I feel like a brand new woman. It's not a cure, and I might wind up taking this med from now on, but right now this medication has given my life back to me.

  My search will never be over as long as I am a Fibro sufferer, I will research, read and study every piece I can find on this disease, and I will take Savella and enjoy everyday that it gives me to be with my family. My email address is in my profile, please let me know how you all are doing, because this has been a real hard decision to make. Take care of all of you.

gentle hugs
Angel

I know the rollercoaster you are talking about.  I am glad Savella has helped.  Your posts and others on it has given me insight.  I think I will ask about it at my next Dr. appointment.  (I tried Cymbalta, didn't like side effects, and wasn't going to touch lyrica bc of side effects listed.)

Hope all will be even better.  Sorry to see you go.  My best,  Karen

I am sorry that something has happened to make you feel so badly, but glad to know it wasn't a part of our fourm here.  I think we all need a break now and then just to rejuvenate ourselves.  I do understand.

It's great to hear that you are doing well on your new meds.  Go out and enjoy yourself and catch up on some of those things you've missed the past few years.  Take care and be safe my friend.
