My mother (age 66) was dx with polymyalsia several 5-8 years ago. Her physical symptoms were pain and constant aching in hips and upper arms. She had an elevated sed rate. She also has a history of depression and does not exercise. She was treated with steriods and when she was on them, she felt better physically. Lately she started getting temporal headaches that have a shooting pain from ear up towards temporal area. I've seen some info on giant cell arteritis and polymyalsia, but not alot of information on treatment options. Does anyone have any information on this?  Thank you in advance.
