My Rheumy tested me for Vit.D deficiency and I was very low. After taking the D and getting my levels up, my hair began to grow back in. It was amazing. I still lose it on and off, which just comes with the disease, but I have more to lose and it's pretty think when it comes back in.
Vit. D also made many other things better for me too. It helped with pain level in general, with energy and with digestion. Glad I got tested! I am an advocate now.
Mine has also become more brittle and dry in the past few years, but I have no problems with loss. I also have been taking vitamin D as a supplement, but haven't noticed a change in this area with the hair.

Thanks for the reminder.
Take care.
