Has anyone had any serious sideeffects with Lyrica? I kept telling dr I had concrete calves as well as rest of pain. Dr said "your persception of your pain is not the reality of your pain" and sent me to shrink. Will keep seeing shrink cause I feel she can help me with pain coping skills and my depression, anxiety,panic attacks. But I did look up some of my meds on computer and 4 of them could cause severe leg muscle pain and swelling. Took myself off them & family dr switched several and told me not to take the Lyrica. The "concrete calf & swelling is getting better but of course rest of fibro worse esp. neck. Does anyone know if TENS unit or acupunture would help?

I tried Lyrica,and it was awful.It made me feel drunk,and and like one side of my head was heavier than the other.It helped to pain to a degree,but not enough for me to keep taking it and feeling that way.I have had 2 friends that also were put on it and they could not take it.One of them even fell down and hurt her self further..

My cousin has nearly identical FM and MCS symptoms as I do.  She tried Lyrica and said that the side effects were really bad and she had to stop using it.  She didn't say what the symptoms were and I haven't asked her just yet.

yes, i too had horrible side effects. stuck with it for 2 months, but dr. removed. sweats, muscle tics, did nothing to reduce pain, nausea, extreme fatigue (even more than usual), dizziness, depression.

i guess we all have to keep going through the list of meds until we find the one that works for us. im still trying... 3 years now, but im not giving up.

Yes, I experienced involuntary muscle twitches like I had Torretts Syndrome on 150 mg of Lyrica. My doctor discintinued it immedietly. I have Lupus, Sjogrens, Fibro, RA. TENS unit only helped me while I used it. As soon as I removed it, pain returned.
