Bladder

Hello all!  Symptoms for 10 plus years, recently dx.  I have always had some degree of  bladder and bowel urgency (IBS too).  Bladder is worse when standing or walking.  Sometimes when I get the sudden urge I have to cross my legs and squeeze to keep from having an accident.  Perhaps this is unrelated, but when I was last pregnant about 1 yr ago I had painful bladder contractions after each urination.  Any ideas?  Are things just going to go downhill--destined for paper pants? Anyone else suffering like this?

i've had urinary frequency for years---fortunately i have been spared IBS.   i took more UAs than anybody should have to take---only to be told there was no infection--maybe 2 or 3 in my lifetime.  i don't have and urgency or problems with accidents, through.  but, i did learn a trick from a urologist that has helped with frequency tremendously!!  my bladder can't tolerate acidic foods---if i indulge---i have to pee constantly the nezxt day.  i drink a full glass of water with a teaspoon of baking soda in it---it about gags me---but it works wonders at neutralizing the acid in my bladder and i am usually fine within a pretty short period of time.
