Can a GP diagnoised you with fibro or can only

a rheumathologist. Thank you

The doctor must also be skilled at checking for the tenderpoints. I have seen doctors diagnose this without checking for tenderpoints.   The tenderpoints are required for diagnosis.  So if you are told you have this without the proper exam ( this happened to me more than once) then the diagnosis is not certain.

Either or can diagnose you, but what you may want to consider is going to a physician who understands these complicated disorders and knows how to treat them. You can google "Co Cure.org" for a list of physicians who frequently diagnose and treat these conditions.
