Do I have fibromyalgia?

Hi guys wondering if you can help,
For last 7 months or so I keep getting headaches, pain all over I'm exhausted also every now and then it's like someone stabs me with a pin,
My symptoms come and go,
My doctor got me an appointment with a neurologist next week so hopefully I'll know more then.
Any ideas?
Thanks

A Neurologist stuck me with strong tranquilizers at my first visit.  Be educated!

Hi Frankieb0137.

A Neurologist is not necessarily the one to diagnose Fibromyalgia, as it is more in the specialty of Rheumatology.
Don't forget that Fibromyalgia is not a specific disease, but rather a syndrome and there are specific diagnostic criteria to be met (they have changed recently from just going by the 11 out of 18 trigger/tender points for dx). Just do a search for the new criteria.
Fluctuating symptoms of headaches, pain and fatigue are not specific only to fibromyalgia.
Best of luck with the Neurologist.

Best wishes.
