Does MedHelp and Fibromyalgia Links Exist for Canada?

I have found such wonderful resources here at MedHelp, but I can't seem to find links for Canada!

Has anyone seem links where I could get additional info?

I've been waiting for almost a year to get in to see a specialist about FM.  Thumbs down for Manitoba!  LOL

I live in Saskatchewan and here too there aren't many doctors dealing in FM..
Did see one at the U of A a few years back she was a Rurmatologist.
Lately I've been seeing a PAIN SPECIALIST also in Alberta and although right now we are dealing with pain from other issues he tells me he will get to the FM issues at a later date, so I hope he knows something on this as well.
Over in the depression forum theres a poster who swears by Osteopath doctors....not sure where here we could find that specialty?

I think anyone who has had illnesses came come to the same conclusion. It is so difficult to find good doctors.  When you have fibromyalgia there are not enough specialists.  It is a controversial problem as a lot of people ith fibro cannot work and the doctors find it complicated and sometimes do not want to get involved.

Since I have had fibro all the doctors I had gone to like it when a patient comes in and then goes right out.

Glad that you have found help concerning your family and you.  It may come a time when a lot of people will have to go outside their towns and cities to find the right help.

Look at people with cancer, a lot of them go to the USA for treatment and also in the UK.

I live in Windsor,Ont. I have had a terrible time finding a doctor who'll Take patients let alone deal with my children's health issues. This is why I decided 1.5 yrs ago to go to London for medical care especially for my one son. I am so fed up with the dr's here, there's nothing here that you can trust. I stay here in Windsor for my health care but for specialists, i go to London. This has been the best move i have ever made for my family. I just thought that i would put in my two cents worth.

Great to know that there are other people in the same situation as I.  Found it really hard to find a rheumatologist for diagnosing Fibro.  I live in Montreal, Quebec and you would think with this justle/bustle city there would be more doctors and specialists.

Hi lady,
I'm in Ottawa and been searching the internet for help for years, and this is by far the best source of information I have found.
Even here in the Capital of our country I've been without any doctor for over a year because my environmental specialist retirerd and last GP left town and no-one would take new patients.  Finally have an August appointment.
I'll be watching this thread myself to know of any other help here.
For sure it's a given that we have to be very "pro-active".  Things can only get better right?.....lol
