FMS and Heart problems

January of this year I went to the ER for shortness of breath and tightness in my chest.  I had been to the ER at least 2 times prior to this one and had been sent home with "Non-Specific Chest Pain".  I was diagnosed with FMS in 2000 but have had symptoms most of my life.  My pain management doctor seems to think that my FMS could have contributed to my heart issues but my Cardiologists have not eluded to that diagnosis.  I have been told that I will ultimately have to receive a heart transplant.  Could the heart issue and FMS be related?

I do not have an answer directly for you, but wanted to give you something else to consider.

My daughter was born with a heart defect that has since been corrected.  I was told that she may have a connective tissue disease, that could have played a part in the heart not forming properly.

I dont know if a CTD can tie in or mimic fibro.
