Fibro numbness

I have numbness from fibromyalgia, there are times when I will be driving and my hands will go numb. My concern is whether or not this could ever be a permanent situation. Is it possible for the numbness to come and not leave? Thanks for your input.

I have this all the time and have been told it's my carpal tunnel syndrome.  I've had it forever but fibro seems to make it worse.  Bending your hands in makes it worse.  You have to actually flex them out and open up those tunnels in the wrist to make it better.  I wore the braces a lot to train myself.  Nighttime was the worst.  I'd wake up with my hands on fire and it was because I would bend them in while sleeping.  Get out the braces...  But I suspect that's it.  Try the flex thing when it occurs.
