Fibro or heart condition

My internist has diagnosed me with fibromyalgia.
My symptoms started 8 months ago with severe chest pains, dizziness ,heart flutter, and blurred vision. Every heart test was performed, all with negative results. The chest pain continued with a choking feeling when lying down which soon produced blood spotted phlegm ,bright red at first which soon became black and looked much like dirt. A broncoscopy was done with negative results along with an EGD shortly after.Cat scans & many x-rays as well, still nothing shows up.
I feel very tired all the time and have a pins and needle, tingly feeling down my left side along with severe chest pains and feel faint, and short of breath.I am taking alot of medications at this point and really feel theres many of them are unnecessary ,I wonder what this is doing to my kidneys?
Here is the list of meds

Lyrica ----------------75mg Twice a day
Fluoxentine-------- 40mg
Metoprolol Tart--- 12.5mg Twice a day
Ranitidine-------     300mg
Alprazolam-------   .5mg  twice a day
Advair----------------  250/50 twice a day
Ventolin-----------   as needed
Aspirin---------      325mg
All this medicine and I'm still having the same original symptoms before any of it and now its much worse with alot of added symptoms. I wake up all during the night with a stabbing chest pain and a fluttering feeling. My blood pressure stays around 137/94.
Do you have some sound advice? ,This  illness is really effecting my ability to provide for my family and perform everyday activities.

You may want to consider taking a low dose asprin 80mg because asprin is really hard on the stomach. My thought is the Prozac increase may be the culprit here, but again I am not a doctor. Have you brought your supplements in to your doctor? I've found that the best supplements are the basic multi-vitamins that you can pick up at Wal*Mart or your local pharmacy. (Some are ISO-9001 certified) I also take a couple additional per day like perhaps the Omega 3, or Vitamin D3.

Do you have a copy of your latest CBC panel? If so what was your Potassium level?

Thanks for the input,
I did test positive for gerd.  My cardiologist put me on metoprolol for palpitations.I started taking the aspirin after the chest pains began ,It seems to help some but i'm not sure.I've been taking the combo of the Prozac & Metoprolol  for about 3 months although the prozac was just increased to 40 mg recently. I've been to the ER several times thinking I was having a Heart Attack. Blood test were performed including a CBC ,everything is always normal.
I do take a vitamin called "mega man"heart along with a fish oil supplement.
The heart & lung Dr. didn't pinpoint a specific problem yet they still prescribed meds.
I just want to get better
                          Thanks

Hello and welcome,
I have some questions for you. First, it does look like your blood pressure is slightly high, so I am guessing that is why you are taking the Metoprolol Tartrate. How long have you been having the heart issues? Also, are you taking the asprin because of the fear of the heart problems as well or did your doctor tell you to? I see that you are also taking Ranitidine. Were you diagnosed with GERD or a stomach problem? Or are you just afraid you might be damaging your stomach from all of the meds? Unless you were told to take the asprin and you are having trouble with your stomach, if I were you I would drop both of those pills. Just my opinion.

You may be having an interaction between the Prozac and the Metoprolol Tart. Usually they work together fine if you increase slowly on one or the other, but sometimes you'll have to switch to another SSRI. How long have you been taking them together?

Also, have you had a CBC test done recently? Do you know what your potassium levels are? I have atrial fibrillation in my family. Both myself and my father have it, but it only happens to us when our potassium or magnesium level get too low. I was admitted in the hospital twice for it. My potassium is always running on the low end of normal and that is with supplements. Now I am not telling you to run out and take a supplement because that can be very dangerous if you have too much in your system, but it might make sense to have your doctor see where your levels are at to find out if you may have some kind of deficiency. Let me know what your thoughts are. I look forward to hearing from you. :)
