Fibro question

For about 2 yrs. now I have been having extreme tiredness and aches in my legs, arms, shoulders and neck. I am always tired, when I wake up in the morning I'm just as tired as I was before I went to bed. After working an 8 hr shift I'm totally exhausted as if I have just done a strenous workout with weights, I end up falling asleep in lounge chair. I have been to a neurologist and he has suggested that I have myopathy. He actually thought it was myastenia gravis but has recently ruled that out. I was just wondering if this could possbily be symptoms of Fibromyalgia?

Just saw Rheumatologist for first time today. Very nice office visit the doctor was very personable and willing to listen and take the time to take in the issues. He gave me a shot and both arms of steriod and sent me for bloodwork and urine analysis. He said that he thinks the shots will make me feel alot better within a couple of days and i'm to come back and see him next week and the results should be back from the tests and we will go from there.

parasitic worms cause myalgias, nuralgias, arthritis, muscle spasms, vertigo, respitory pain and many other symptoms that an MD will classify as Fibro.MDs dont cure or heal.Try wormwood, clove buds and black walnut husk. They can be ordered over the internet

Thanks for the comments. Today I'm actually very achy and sore. My neck muscles hurt and I believe its probably from the breathing test I had done the other day. My whole body aches as usual as well. Once again thanks for the response

Thanks for the comments. My whole body aches as usual. New thing though is my neck muscles hurting right above breastbone, I believe its from the breathing test I had done the other day. Once again thanks for the response!

Hey, hang in there. From your results it sounds like you're heading in the direction of a Fibro/CFS diagnosis. How are you holding up?

Just finished up on my sleep study. Had a couple of respiratory issures but everything else turned out fine. Have to wait for the Dr. to call me and see if the respiratory issues were serious enough to warrant further testing with C-pap.

Just saw Dr. the other day and they are setting me up for a breathing test and sleep study. Lets see where things go from there, i'm very interested and finding out where they are going with me. My symptoms are still not changing maybe if anything getting a little worst.

I just found out today that my blood tests have come back normal. Next step is the sleep test and we will go from there. Still feeling sore all over and tired.

I have to addd the same. Many things must be ruled out before a definative diagnosis of Fibro is concluded. But it you feel like you have a muscle tooth ache all over it is probably Fibro.  Good luck

Doctors have to rule out all the other health issues prior to diagnosing that you have Fibromyalgia and Chronic Fatigue.  It could be a number of things, but it sounds very much like I was (and still am) before he finally said "Fibro".  It's a long, arduous journey and even after they determine that you have Fibro/CF, it is a continuation of finding what meds work for you, if any at all.  Bless you and I send you gentle hugs and prayers.  All of us on this blog understand your frustrations and pain.

I want to thank you for your help first off. I went to the doctor on Monday and he has decided to send me for a sleep test. He also checked me for trigger points on Fibromyalgia and said that it is a definite possibility. Have to get some blood drawn as well.

You may want to get tested for lyme disease if you haven't already.  It can cause myopathy.  Since you live in an endemic state it should be evaluated as a possible cause.

Yes I have been tested for myopathy and the neurologist has stated that I have myopathy. But from what I have read myopathy could be many things, The neurologist has not been able to help me with my symptoms at all. Just seems as if i'm getting worst instead of better. Thanks for the response, very nice of you!

Yes they are symptoms of FMS.  They are also symptoms of lyme disease.  Have you been tested?

Did the neurologist test you for myopathy?   Were your muscle enzymes elevated?  My friend has myopathy.  It was diagnosed by muscle biopsy.
