Fibromyalgia, Really?

Fibromyalgia, Really?

As most of you could probably testify, getting a Fibromyalgia diagnosis is a long and tiring road to travel.  My story could go on for hours, but basically in the past year and a half I have been to numerous doctors (internal, neurology, rheumatology, pain management...) who have run all kinds of tests and have just shaken their heads at me and passed me on to someone else.  In the beginning stages I thought I was having a heart attack I have been in so much pain. I was told by one doctor he thought I had MS, only for his theory to be disproved by other doctor's who ran MRI's.  My symptoms include(d) numbness in my leg, arm, and face(only in the beginning), stabbing pains in chest and trunk on occasion, a sore circular bump that appears in the back left side of my throat off and on, sore joints, very painful neck, headache, occasional pain in ear and throat, constant aching in trunk area, sudden urge to urinate, inability to control urges, blurred vision when it is at its worst, and extreme fatigue!
All of these symptoms seem to fit Fibromyalgia, but the one outlying factor is that my symptoms are TOTALLY LEFT SIDE ONLY.  From everything I have read I was under the impression Fibromyalgia was an all over body illness.
Does anyone else have a similar situation where they have been diagnosed with FM also, but it is only one sided?
