Hey Max, anytime.
I understand it's a lot to deal with and I don't blame you for feeling this way.
There are a couple things I should mention to you while your waiting for
doctors and lab results to get you some answers.
IGeneX IS the golden standard for testing Lyme's.
Many doctor's follow IDSA protocols, which does not fully recognize chronic Lyme's disease, therefore, their interpretation of lab reports
is according to IDSA recommendations. You can see how this goes...
I live in Canada where there are NO Lyme's doctors left in the entire country!
There must be huge business, political and other interests, for all the persecusion of doctors who treat chronic lyme's disease, properly, and putting their patients' health ahead of any protocols dictated to them
by the governing medical authorities and boards.
Another issue that you need to be aware of is the fact that standard serum thyroid testing is flawed.
TSH, T3 & T4 thyroid tests only indicate serum thyroid hormone levels
and NOT thyroid function in the tissues (where it matters)
In many cases these co-relate, however, this also means that the lab results from these tests will always be inconclusive!
The only tests which reveal thyroid function accurarely are Free T3, Free T4 and Reverse T3. It's a bit similar situation to diabetes type 2, where there's ample insulin produced, yet the insulin cannot be utilized because of insulin resistance.
You may also do on your own thyroid test: Dr. Barnes basal temperature test.
Just do an online search.
Cheers.
Niko
Thanks for responding. I just saw another doctor who is running test on my thyroid. I brought up Igenix. He didn't care for the lab to much but I already an appointment for a doc who is supposed to be very lyme literate. But the current one is also testing for Borellia. I haven't done any test for b12 deficiencies. Im not sure what my Histamine, Homocysteine, methylocobalamin, and methylfolate are.
I am just o0verwhlemed by the whole situation. I will take a look at your suggestions and let you know if my new round of lab work finds anything.
Hey max117.
IgG 41 is present in Lyme's disease, but could be also present in other conditions.
You need two things to consider for a Lyme's investigation:
A. An LLMD (Lyme Literate Medical Doctor).
B. IGeneX Labs complete Borellia and Co-infections Panel.
During or before this, you would benefit from lessening your viral and toxic load (heavy metals and other toxins) and boosting your immune system.
Should you have Lyme's indeed, it would be chronic Lyme's by now, which means that your treatment is going to take a very long time!
The less viral and toxic load, the stronger the immune system, the less taxing the treatment would be AND likely much shorter.
An easy constitutional remedy as a trial to start is transdermal magnesium oil and oral MSM powder (1/4t x 2 daily to start w/juice or water).
Make sure you rule out candida(self-test as a candida screen by googling
"Saliva Test for Candida).
Also you may do Dr. Barnes basal temperature test, to screen for low thyproid function. Just do an online search.
If you need more information, please let me know.
have you done any tests for deficiencies like MMA for B12?
How's you D3 levels? Histamine? Homocysteine? methylocobalamin?
methylfolate? Thyroid function? neurotrnasmitter assessment?
Please note than my suggestions and comments are not intended as a replacement for medical advice.
Cheers.
Niko
