Has anyone tried Vyvance for CFS?

Has anyone tried the drug vyvance for CFS...it is typically used for ADD.  My lyme disease doctor suggested it and says those with lyme disease who suffer with fatigue has benefitted from it.

Just wondering if anyone has ever tried it.

Thanks,
Lesley

I would say it helps with your focus more than energy, but I don't know. Who knows where that boundary line is in different people (on different days!)? My symptoms mesh differently every day. I think you'd have to be careful, and I do think you should take the smallest mg that helps. You can take too much, and it is not pleasant.

Thanks so much for your information.  I am very reluctant to go on any more meds but would love to find something to help with my energy.

Thanks again,
Lesley

I have not tried this.  I did have a friend who was on Adderall (same form of stimulant) for narcolepsy...it helped with that, but she lost massive weight and became paranoid.

In low doses it may help with energy levels, but it is highly addictive.  Here are two links that explain the precautions/warnings and also potential drug interactions.

Like any medication, it comes with benefits and risks.  Be safe and take care.
