Hi!

I just joined this group. I was diagnosed with Fibro about 3 years ago. I haven't really found an effective treatment just yet. I prefer to use supplements. I have already tried different medications but they really haven't done anything but cause side effects that I already experience! Mainly fatiuge. I really believe that I can control my pain and stiffness alot better if I can get some energy to do it. My fatiuge is so bad that I can just stay in bed. As I type, my house is a mess and I am so exhausted. Luckily, I have a 4 year old so atleast she keeps me up but I want to be able to do more with her and provide her with a cleaner home.

Does anyone know of any supplements that help with this exhaustion? I have been working on getting better sleep, it just seems though that I can get the best sleep in the world but still can't function. I want to start working out again but of course I can't get the energy to start!

Thanks!

I feel your frustration. I am a married mother of four, as I type my house SO needs lots of cleaning and the kids have chores but it still looks like a tornado came through it. I was just officially diagnosed with fibro and osteoarthritis after years of doctors telling my I was crazy. I am currently on the generic for elavil, which does help with the pain a little. I still have bad days where I can't sleep at all and it's taking a bad toll on my body. I also take vitamin C, B-6 and B-12. The only thing that actually gives me any energy are the five hour energy shots, but then when they wear off I am totally exhausted once again. I have had people tell me that the packs of EmergenC work, but they don't for me. You might want to try that. I hope it helps!! I hope you feel better soon!

Yes, I know that feeling.  I sure wish I could offer something that would help, but i'm on those drugs that keep me fatigued.  I'm trading off that instead of having chronic nerve pain.  At first they thought that fibro was caused by unrefreshing sleep and I do know that sleep plays an important part, but most days i'm also tired.  If I do housework it's not unusual to find me in bed the next two days.  No matter how well I rest i'm always yawning and sleepy.

I'm taking a multi-vitamin, extra D, extra C and B-12 for a deficiency.  I take them every day religiously and still feel the same way.

I hope you can find something that will help.  Best of luck to you and welcome to the community.

soft hugs, VaBreeze
