How do I know if I have this?

I have been informally diagnosed with chronic pain and given meds for fibro.  I don't believe I have this as I do not have any of the sensitive spots.  I have pain in my arms really bad from my elbows to my finger tips and in my back, feet.  Generally feel like I have the flu without narcotic pain relief.  I just want to know what is wrong with me and how to help it.

My family doctor is treating me.  Just started physical therapy and was seeing a chiropractor for awhile.  It started after pregnancy with my back then my butt (for lack of better description) where I was limping for a few weeks.  Now it is in my arms, etc... like I explained.  I have ****** insurance and need to travel to see a rheumo.  My family doctor wants me to see a pain specialist;  I think he thinks I am nuts (which I am, but that isn't the point.)  I have pain I know this, I just don't know if it is legit or from the dependency on narcotics and the following intolerance to any kind of pain.  I don't have a plan for meds after narcotics????  My doctor is an idiot.  He sees 39999 million patients a day and forgets things, etc.  I don't want to switch b/c I don't want to be without my pain meds or get a doctor that won't give them to me.  Do you have fibro?  Chronic pain?  On meds?  What helps you?  Thanks for your response and time.  Namaste.

Hello,
What type of doctor is treating you now? Have you had any MRIs of your body to find out if there is anything going on with your arms or back? What part of your back is in pain? It may be useful to see a Rheumatologist for further testing to find out if you may have some other issue going on besides just Fibro. Are you being weaned from the narcotics? And if so what have you been switched to (if you are comfortable sharing)?
