Hello,  I am very new to Forum, how to use, etc. (and to my office 2010-confusing).  But I've had Fibro for 13 yrs.  Might have some insight as to how to figure things out.  How interested are you in reading my posts (3parts) today on the subject. Can you get on my profile to read or is there a way to send them to you?  I also can give you the name of a book written on the subject by a male doctor who has Fibro.  Your profile says 'male', so I thought maybe that may be of interest.

What you describe is very much like what I was going through when I finally 'threw in the towel' and ended up at the Dr's office....near tears!!!

Luckily my Dr was very understanding and embraced the idea that I might have Fibro.  What I mean is I took a list of my symptoms with me (written down) and I took PAGES of web sites that I had printed off and basically insisted that she figure out what was wrong with me.  I simply couldn't put another foot in front of the other... very literally!

For me, getting out of the bed was more than I could handle each day - I usually got dressed for work each day while crying.  I was crying from fatigue that I couldn't get over and so much emotional and physical pain, I knew I wouldn't be able to focus long enough to get anything productive done.   The pain was all over my body and not usually in the same place for very long.  I honestly thought I was going crazy!

The brain fog and lack of motivation was debilitating and I was just sane enough to realize that something was wrong and I couldn't pull myself out of it!  Ya' know?
I was having high blood pressure, heart palpitations, anxiety attacks.... the list just goes on and on.

Now with all of that ramble, I wanted to let you know that you aren't alone!  The pain and fatigue you are experiencing is very real! If you don't have a Dr that you are comfortable spilling your guts and emotions to, then find one you can!

There are some very good medications on the market that are helpful to folks with Fibro/CFS.  Each person is different and what may work for one isn't so good for another, but take comfort that there is help for you!

My first step was seeking medical help and getting some prescriptions for the Fibro/CFS, then I started elmininating the various foods that were causing me so much pain - here again I did a ton of research on the internet and discovered what others had to say about foods and their symptoms. Next I added vitamins and supplements...I'm happy to report that I have a life again!

With all of this said, I still have bad days when the weather changes or when I do too much strenuous activity, but the good far outweigh the bad!

Please feel free to contact me if I can help you with anything!  I wish you the best of luck in finding answers!
