Just diagnosed with Fibro

went to the Mayo Clinic today and the Dr diagnosed me with Fibro. I thought I had it for some time but wasn't sure. The thing I have the most problem with is that my chest feels so tight like I can't get a good breath or that something is crushing me. When I lay down, I get headaches and feel so tight I can't breath. My left arm hurts and my hand gets tingly. Are these all symptoms of Fibro? I've had my heart check three times - EKG's, Stress tests, Echo - the works, and they all say my heart is fine. (three different ER's and 3 different Drs) The Dr said my lungs are clear but I still feel like I can't breath. Is this Fibro? I feel scared because I feel like it's my heart but every Dr I've seen says it's not. I can't go to the ER everytime I get like this. Sometimes it feels like my heart flutters or doesn't beat right. And my ribs and shoulders hurt really bad today too.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Oh, the Dr wants me to get some physical therepy. Has anyone had any help with Fibro by having this?

Fibro can cause you to feel like you are having a heart attack when you are not. I started getting severe chest pain and went to family dr for heartburn meds as I thought I heartburn. He asked me to describle symptoms. I told him severe chest pain, hard to breathe, very fast heartbeat, extremeweakness and fine sweating. He said sounded like angina so did EKG. EKG was abnormal & sent me to cardiologist. Had nuclear stress test and Heart was fine. Asked dr what caused symptoms and he said my chart showed I had severe fibro and OA & degenerative disc disease and he felt that caused it as he had other patients with severe fibro who had same symptoms but stress test showed heart was fine. Other symptoms can be fibro also. Keep up with this forum and get info from other sites on web about fibro. The more you know the less scared you will be.

Thank you for your help. Like you, I went to Dr and had all the tests done, stress test, EKG, the works. Nothing showed up. I also have degenerative disc disease in that area of the back so that may be part of it. It hurts to lay down on my back so I usually sleep on my side. But lately, that hurts too. I sometimes have to sleep in the recliner.
