Kidney issues and Fibromyalgia

Is it common for people with Fibromyalgia to develop repeated kidney issues, such as renal failure?  I had this happen about three years ago.  Now, I'm having similar symptoms as I had back then and will be seeing my doctor soon to see how my kidney function is.  I'm finding only minimal information online that suggests that there could be a link between the two issues.

I would have to wonder about this.  I know Lupus symptoms are real similar to fibromyalgia sx.  I would encourage them to rule out Lupus which can affec the kidney in this manner.

I have had two different occasions where my GFR went down to 53 and my creatinine went up, and I had high protein in my 24 hour urine.

Fortunately, the kidneys have come back both times.

Guess this doens't help, but maybe if you are having difficulties, it won't last for you either!
My best,
Karen

I worked with a woman who had fibromyalgia for years and then later on... developed kidney problems.
