Lupus

My daughter was diagnosed with lupus 3 years ago.  Her liver function is not good and has now been diagnosed with cardiomyopathy.  What is her prognosis.

having a diagnosis of "Lupus", Cardiomyopathy AND liver problems sounds like it could be bacteria induced.  What are other symptoms? be very specific.

I too have Lupus and cardiomyopathy, as well as liver and kidney problems.  Did your daughter give you her ALT or AST numbers?  She could have autoimmune hepatitis.  Cardiomyopathy is something that can be controlled with medication.  Mine was diagnosed in 2005 and I am doing very well on meds.  Lupus is a disease that can be very frustrating.  Some people have severe symptoms, while others have symptoms to a lesser degree. It can affect any organ of the body.  If she is seeking treatment from a Rhem. Dr they will prescribe treatment.  People with Lupus have a much better survival rate now.
