I was so excited to start on Lyrica a few months ago, before I was much more educated on Autoimm. Diseases. I never once thought it wouldn't work, I took 50mg a night x 1week, and then 75mg x 1 week and so on. I FORCED myself through night six, that was my very last day, I was very dissapointed. IBS caused severe side effects that even if it was short lived, I couldn't do it
I will always keep trying whatever my specialists suggest, within reason. All I take now is M800, Vics/ES, WellbutrinXL, Adderall(ADHD), and Lidoderm patches-those things are a god send on specific areas like my neck pain. Everyone should try those!!!
Hi
I uped the lyrica like you as the pain kept breaking through and i was tired at first but it does pass in the end. i'm on 450mg a day now and alot of weight gain.
If i stay in the house my pain is a 6 which is copable but if i do anything the pain goes up to an 8-9 which is most days as i have three youngs kids.
I'm going to see a professor in fibro and CFS in london ( as i live in the uk) and i'm hoping he will be able to control my fibro better.

Wish'n 4 pain-free days ahead 4 all, Brandy
Taking Lyrica since the end of December.
I have Restless Leg Syndrome which is a form of Fibromyalgia, but the shoulder pains and you have had a similar reaction to lyria, my doses were raised slowly to 300MG daily.
My ankles started to swell and my knees were like ice, the dose was reduced to 225MG this week.
Although lyrica has helped, I still get the break-through-pain when I move around alot.
Hope this assures you that others understand.

I take 75mg of Lyrica 3x a day. It works fairly well for me I usually take one pill in the morning and two at night. The one thing you have to be careful about with Lyrica is weight gain. Recently I have been losing weight like crazy, so maybe putting some on wouldn't be a bad idea LOL. Good Luck and take care.
