New To Fibro & Need Some Advice

I was diagnosed back in November with Fibro. My wonderful specialist that gave me the label just said exercise and you will get your life back. I started to ask him questions and he interupted and told me I said you have fibromyalgia and that's all I have to say. So needless to say I went to my family doctor. She did prescribe flexeril and I have Vicodan. There are some days neither of them work. I also have heart disease with chronic chest pain. They put a stent in last winter. I never had chest pain or chronic body pain until a few weeks before they found the blockage. Since then I have had the continual body pain along with chest pain which I take a time release nitro and the fast acting nitro tablets. I noticed the chest and body pain are always horrible around my period and I am in bed for a week. I guess my question can fibro cause chest pain that feels like a heart attack that is relieved with nitro?
If anyone else has this problem please let me know. I am now seeing a new cardio doctor and he has said my pain is real. But no one can figure out why I have chronic chest pain.

I to have recently had some chest pain and abdomenal (abdominal) pain. I was told it was an inflamation (inflammation) in my chest wall and gave me Naprosyn. Unfortunately my pain has been so bad that the dr is putting me on a time released morphine. I'm not happy but I need to be able to function.  Have you ever asked your dr about  lyrica? It will help with some of your pain. I forwarn you that it can cause weight gain and sleepiness.This is only a suggestion. It will work for some individuals but not others. I'm glad that you have a family dr who listens to you. Sometimes specialists can be assholes. You might want to find another. Good Luck.
