Pain Management

I was hit by a transfer truck 10 months ago. I have been told that this trauma has caused symptoms of fibromyolgia
I am on pain medication, a tens unit, have a portable traction unit to use at home. Will the symptoms stay with me
because of the nerve damage. Since I am told that soft muscle tissue damage takes time to heal and there isn't
any prediction as to how long a time I am left to guess what it is that I should do next?

I suffer from chronic pain all over, the meds mask the pain for short periods my life has completely changed.
I don't even know this body I am in. What are my choices that are more proactive? I used to walk everyday I led
a very active physical life. Now I try to do what I used to do with real painful consequences. I can't sleep. I can't
get comfortable and the pain wears me down to the point I just lie in a chair and do nothing. I don't choose to
not try something else but what is that something else? This kind of injury is not covered by my insurance. I am
left to wait and see if any settlement will cover the care I will be needing in the future. In the mean time I just
do the best I can each day. I exercise gently and meditate. I use pain medication that is very strong and it
just masks the pain for a short while. I won't go to higher doses because it will only lead me to more complications.

I could use some advice.

What area awas injured?...back. neck?.....u mentioned nerve damage??......do u have the tender points for fibro??....I suggest reading the health pages to the right of the screen.....and some more info may help...u did not mention what type of injuries u suffered...there are other conditons that can result form traumas.....so to narrow it down...start with the health pages and more details .......I would hope that u r seeing a NS.....
Good luck
