Pain and no pain?

Pain and no pain?

I have finally(after 15+ years) been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.
I have all the typical pressure points of pain and am slowly learning about all the weird pain issues like neuralgia around the feet and hands and my migraines and etc.
But, what I find REALLY weird is that when poked with a needle all over my feet and hands I can't feel it. And the look on my doctor's face didn't help either. But, she didn't mention what she was thinking or what it could mean.
I also have B-12 deficiency and currently administer shots to myself per my doctor's orders.
But, basically my question is what can be causing the LACK of pain from sharp items like needle pricks and kitten claws(had a kitten jump on my back and didn't feel the sharp pain).
Is it possible I have more than a couple things going on here? Or is this also a part of the FM?
Just pressing lightly on certain points can make me want to cry and I have always had a high tolerance to pain. But, things that are sharp not bother me any more. And this is just confusing me.
Any ideas, anyone?

Vitamin B12 deficiency symptoms include pins and needles/numbness in hands and feet. Vitamin B12 deficiency can cause permanent nerve damage if not diagnosed and treated in time.
