Possibly Misdiagnosed?

I was diagnosed with RRMS in 02. It happened super quick, I had an MRI, spinal tap and blood work. I keep thinking it is Fibromyalgia and not MS though. My diagnosing symptoms was numbness in right hand and left foot. I am always sore and tired. My thyroid level is fine. Is it possible I was misdiagnosed?

There is a great writeup on the MacDonald criteria that is used to diagnose MS in the expert area of the MS forum (bottom right hand side). Have you read your MRI report? I think in most countries you have a right to read it. That migth answer some questions for you.

My understanding is that if the lesions are on the MRI, plus some neuro signs, it's pretty definite, altho the oppsite can be true, where people don't have lesions evident, but end up having MS.
