Should I pay attention to this??

I suffer with fibromyalgia, osteoarthritis, regenerative disc disease and a couple of other annoying maladies. Recently I have been experiencing more severe pain which is accompanied by hives. Is this something I need to bring up to my doctors or is it just coincidental?? What could be causing the hives. They itch and the area that hurts gets warm. I'm wondering if one has anything to do with the other?

There are 5 different classes of allergies. Some are delayed, so the link to the offending substance, does not get established.
Please consider reading the entire book by Dr. Coca, for a better understanding. (free download).

If you need holistic/natural alternatives for fibro  just go to a thread I started a while back.
Just search this community for " IWILLDOTHIS"

Thanks for all that info. I was put on many many different meds but didn't like them so I went off everything. I haven't been offered thru my drs any other alternatives for my pain other than injections which I get fairly regularly. I've never suffered with allergies but that doesn't mean very much. I do have very poor digestive health so all of this is worth looking into. To be able to minimize any of my discomfort would be amazing. I was thinking the hives are just another symptom that I'll have no control over.

Hi dcxxdc!

You are probably allergic to a lot of things.
Your conditions may  have common causative factors.
Have you had thorough deficiencies testing? Nutritional panel, tissue minerals, hormonal panel, neurotransmitters? Glutathione levels?
Have you done:
--The urine test for leaky gut syndrome (Mannitol-lactulose
urine test; low levels of both indicate malabsorption of nutrients and gut dysbiosis)
-- Digestive stool analysis
--- Spit test for candida (self test; do a YouTube search , very easy)
--- Dr. Coca's Pulse test (self-test, free download, for allergies, sensitivity
and intolerance for anything ingested)
--- Gluten Intolerance testing.
Look into Gliadin test (urine), by Cyrex labs. They test 12 forms-not just the alpha ordered by most doctors- of gliadins regarding gluten intolerance.
Now they can also test which part of the body is affected.
--- Hypoallergenic Diet or Elimination diet?
---Have you ruled out heavy metal toxicity? have you done any cleansing/detox?
---Have you ever tried an anti-arthritic diet?

If you follow through with all the testing and correct any imbalances,
my guess is that you will feel much better and you pain will diminish, you hives will dissipate and disappear.
If you need details regarding  the above please don't hesitate to post again or pm directly. I'm very familiar with Naturopathic/Holistic protocols.

Note: This is not intended as a substitute for medical advice.

Best wishes!
Niko

I rarely take pain meds but could not function without Lyrica and massage. Do you use homeopathic solutions?

Nope no new mess. Actually I don't take any meds at all anymore. I took myself off all pain killers and everything else last year. Its a curious symptom. I cant seem to track why it occurs.

Have you recently started any new meds? It sounds like an allergic reaction. My allergic reactions are exactly like that.
