So sorry you are suffering...
Dr. Stengler recommends that your doctor check your iron, folic acid and magnesium levels. "Deficiencies in one of more of these nutrients have shown to contribute to RLS. ...To relax the muscles and nerves...take 500 milligrams of calcium citrate or calcium chelate and 250 mg to 500 mg. of magnesium each evening."
Quoting from his Natural Healing Library.
Perhaps a good Prenatal supplement would do the trick as it contains all these minerals plus....
Wishing you the best
I have stoped my ultram pretty much its addicting though dr's wont admit it! I took half today but NO for me it didnt work on rls
I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 2 years ago. I am 23 years old. The pain was pretty intense but due to a prior drug abuse hx I knew I couldn't take narcotic pain medication. So my doctor gave me ultracet first, it caused a lot of stomach pain so he gave me just the ultram, it helps take the edge off, I've never found anything that helps the pain completely and I fully understand that the pain will not go away until it's darn good and ready. It does help though. I take Ultram ER 100 mg BID ... some days are better than others, today I haven't taken anything, but tomorrow it could be the worst pain ever.
I say try it! It might work for you. Just ask your doctor about all the side effects and stuff. I haven't experienced any thus far but everyone is different. Good luck.

Well after trying the ultram, it is not working for me. I am very dissapointed because I am tired of taking vicodin and percocet for my pain. I am not sure what else to try after this. What else is out there?

I take Ultram 50-100mg. along with a Flexiril 5mg. daily. If I understand correctly, they work together. I take them with morning meds, and then again in the afternoon. They help to keep pain levels and muscle fatigue under control. Then, on really bad days, weather days, traveling, days I have to push past my breakingpoint, and etc. I have to take something more, then I take a Vicodin. Good Luck to you.
