Ultram

Ultram

I was recently diagnosed with fibro/cfs after I had a hysterectomy and going thru many doctors and many tests from a neurologist. I went to a pain clinic and he knew right away what was going on. Right now I am taking percocet for my pain until my blood work comes back and I get stabilized on maintenance meds. I am strongly thinking about asking him for Ultram, for my pain and Severe RLS. I was wondering if anyone is taking it or ever tried it and how it works for them? thank you.

I take Ultram 50-100mg. along with a Flexiril 5mg. daily.  If I understand correctly, they work together.  I take them with morning meds, and then again in the afternoon.  They help to keep pain levels and muscle fatigue under control.  Then, on really bad days, weather days, traveling, days I have to push past my breakingpoint, and etc.  I have to take something more, then I take a Vicodin.  Good Luck to you.  You have found a good site here.  Support is key.  Family and friends can not ever begin to truly understand as those of us who share your pain and frustration.

The following article may be helpful for anyone currently on or considering Ultram.

Well after trying the ultram, it is not working for me. I am very dissapointed because I am tired of taking vicodin and percocet for my pain. I am not sure what else to try after this. What else is out there?

I was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia 2 years ago. I am 23 years old. The pain was pretty intense but due to a prior drug abuse hx I knew I couldn't take narcotic pain medication. So my doctor gave me ultracet first, it caused a lot of stomach pain so he gave me just the ultram, it helps take the edge off, I've never found anything that helps the pain completely and I fully understand that the pain will not go away until it's darn good and ready. It does help though. I take Ultram ER 100 mg BID ... some days are better than others, today I haven't taken anything, but tomorrow it could be the worst pain ever.
I say try it! It might work for you. Just ask your doctor about all the side effects and stuff. I haven't experienced any thus far but everyone is different. Good luck.
