When Potasium works great but levels too high

I Have been suffering from fibro. and fatigue for 7 years after a recent trip to the ER they found i was dehydrated and had very low levels of potsium 2.2 i think they gave me 2 liters of fluid ( i was dehydrated for non fibro reasons )
they also gave me 40 mili equvilants of potasium    I felt great ,etter than in years  i was on 20 mili equivilants for 2 weeks and very simular results    Great      now we find my evels are high 4.3, 4.0  after stopping the potasium i went right back to feeling terrible
   Any ideas ?  Doc wont prescribe any more potasium as blood levels are good to high

I have trouble with potassium as well and Atrial Fibrillation. I know that high potassium, low blood pressure, weight loss, fatigue and a number of other symptoms can be a sign of adrenal problems- Addison's disease to be exact. You might want to look up Addison's disease and see if you have any other symptoms. If you do, perhaps suggest getting tested for it to your doctor. The sent me to an Endocrinologist. I tested negative, but better safe than sorry. You never know.
