Yes or no on Flu Shot?

Yes or no on Flu Shot?

Should people diagnosed with fibro get a flu shot?  I have always gotten one every year, as I tend to pick up a lot of colds/sinus infections because of my allergies.  But now that I have full-blown fibro, I'm wondering if it's a good idea or if it will send me into a flare.  My doctor said he doesn't think it shoudl be a problem, but they always say that.

Does anyone know if a flu shot is a good or bad idea?

This is a personal decision and one that I think we all struggle with every year. The only thing I can do is tell you what the fibro / CFS experts are saying about this. I recently posted the question myself and here is the link. I included what a couple of fibro / CFS physicians are saying about the flu shot and what they've seen with their patients. Also, below is another link to the Q & A Session we recently had with Dr. Garth Nicolson. I asked him the same question because I am one of the many CFS patients who do not tolerate vaccinations very well at all.

I persoanlly would NEVER get vaccinated.... ever (nor will I vaccinate my cat or child) but particularly the FLU vaccine. Highly toxic and full of poison. Do your own research. Most mainstream doctors don't agree, but I'm sure they WOULD agree that it's ALL about the  $$$$$ that's made, and they should know because when they prescribe ALL those dangerous pharmaceutical drugs to you,THEY get  kick backs from the drug companies (again, do your research.) If you want to believe what the WHO, the FDA (Food & Death Administration) or any other government related organization AND the mainstream media tells you, that is your choice. I have done the research with plenty of proof to back it up. What the doctors fail to mention (although a lot of mainstream doctors are finally *getting it*) is that  Vitamin D3 is your BEST defense against the flu and it has NO poison in it!!

wow, i would avoid it as much as possible; we're already ultra sensitive and reactive to all sorts of things... too dicey.
it's a pity that you can't halve vaccine doses, cause i bet it would have the immunising effect wanted, without the unwanted ('side') effects. but science doesn't cater for individuals.
anyway. good luck everyone. there's reason to believe that shots cause us to have a real bad time of it all. i know of someone who'd had cfs for 8 years, gradually well enough to travel, got  travel shots - and i hear he went straight back to hell for years again :(
