I have been going throgh post viral and have been noticing thick white coat on my tongue.  anyone know how to treat.  thanks

I would recommend that you google candida, it is basically an overgrowth of yeast.  A "yeast infection" is typically experienced by women in their vagina, however yeast can also be present and cause problems all over the body (male or female) and this is more typically called candida.  It can and does cause fatigue and very pronounced symptoms.  Many of the symptoms are the same as many of the CFS/Fibro symptoms.  It is definitely worth looking into.  I am not aware of anti-virals causing candida overgrowth as they attack viruses, not bacteria.  However, antibiotics attack bacteria and can allow candida to become a problem.  In bad cases of candida, a prescription anti-fungal (diflucan or nystatin...) is needed to kill the yeast, and a good probiotic helps re-establish the good bacteria in the gut.  The prescriptions are not harmful and shouldn't be hard to get with a good knowledgeable doctor.  In addition, garlic is a natural anti-fungal, and there are supplements in health food stores to help rid of candida.  Diet is a big part of it though, the candida thrive on sugars, high carb foods, and yeast/bread items.

YES to both questions.  You can get acidophulus in any pharmacy.  Yeast infection does cause /or, intensity you already fatigued system. Alaso, you can pass yeast infection thru kissing and body fluid as well, so I've heard.

I understand eating yogurt helps but can you take acidophulus by pill form.  vitamins?

Hi.....

I'm currently being treated for candida (yeast infection) due to coated tongue by taking anti candida natural supplement.   Sometimes, when we take anti viral medications it deletes good bacteria in our digestive system, hence yeast infection, coated tongue.  To reaplanish the good bacteria, we should take acidophulus.  That is one of the theory anyways.
