Fibrocystic breast is more common than not in women.  Not everyone who has this will go on to develop fibromyalgia, but many do.

One of my first problems as a teenager was discovering I had fibrocystic breasts.  I would stress to anyone having this, not to push on the areas.  Let your physician do that part.  Cysts begin as a hard nodule, but can turn soft the longer one has them.  Pushing or feeling them can possibly cause them to burst, drain and abscess.

Just wanted to say that I have the fibrocystic breast disease and I have had it since about age 19 so try not to worry too much, you are so young, the chances of it being cancer would be very low.
Keep us posted.

Hi,

I have been researching this subject as well.  Here is an interesting part of an article that I found (I've also included the link).

Breasts
Fibrocystic breast disease is common among Fibromyalgia patients. With this condition, breasts are tender and contain cysts. Patients who are diagnosed with fibrocystic breast disease need regular breast examinations and mammograms because of the possibility of cancer. Sometimes pain originates from the chest wall muscles even though the patient may have fibrocystic breast disease as well.
