ice bath therapy anyone?

ice bath therapy anyone?

anyone had experience/ success/ other with cold water therapy or ice baths, for fibro or m.e/ cfs?
i have only read about it..
i haven't tried it only because i think i am too sick to deal with such a shock to the system at the moment. but would like to have a go..
i do notice i am far more comfy in cooler weather, and sometimes my muscles overheat terribly and i get relief from ice packs applied to the arm/ leg muscle.
anyway - let us know!
i guess if you have found sauna sessions helpful, do tell

ok! i gave it a go - part way. sat in a shallow tub of cold water - not ice. didn't get top half wet - can't be bothered w the discomfort!
i don't have skin tenderness or sensitivity but it would be impossible for a person with that contact fibro where cold water hurts.
so anyway - it felt good - takes the heat out of my leg and bum muscles - great simple relief! i'll be doing it again
