Yes I am in a major flare have been since Oct. 07. In May I got vertigo, and ever since then I get very dizzy & light headed at times. Yesterday I woke up and rolled over on to my back & when I opened my eyes it felt like the whole room was spinning & that my eyes where moving from left to right very fast it was a very wierd feeling. I get dizzy when I look up & look down sometimes. I always get dizzy when I am in the shower & look up. I hate it. The doc perscribed me something for the dizziness, I took one last night before bed because I didn't want to wake up to that feeling.
I am very sorry to hear about your mother. That must be very tough on you,I can't imagine having to go through that with a flare up to boot. Is your mother resting comfortably at least? My dad had half his lung cut out about 28 years ago, luckily they caught it in time. I will say a few prayers for you and your mother. I am not a religious person but I will still say those prayers for you.
Maybe you can ask your doc for something for the dizziness. Do you not have any pain killers for the muscle pain? Get something!!!!

Hi Libby, my name is Sylvie and I am from Canada.  We are in the same situation.  I was diagnosed with Fibro and thought I was dealing with it fairly well until doctors told us that there was nothing more they could do for my mom's ovarian cancer.  Since then I have been in total relapse.  Not sure how to explain it but aside from muscle pains, lack of sleep because of leg cramps, I get these weird dizzy spells.  It's like i'll be just sitting watching TV and I get a sort of woosss in my head... that will last a few seconds.  It really feels weird.  I'm seeing my doctor this week and will talk to her about it.  Also, the meds she gave me are no longer working at all.  I get about 3 hours of continuous sleep per night  I'm wondering if this is the fibro acting up or if it's just the extreme stress I am under :(  Good luck to you and if you ever feel like chatting or venting do not hesitate to contact me.  Sylvie
