muscle relaxer

I am wondering what is the name of the muscke relaxer that helps everyone. I have been taking cyclobenzaprine an all it does is makes me sleepy. It doesn't relax my muscles and right now I am really having a problem with the spams. Any help you can give please.

There are quite a few muscle relaxers out there that work very well for fibro. In my experience I have found Soma to be helpful as well as Skelaxin. I would have a talk with your doctor and see what he/she suggests. Good luck to you.

Hello Rose, My doctor put me on Zanaflex 4 mg about 2 months ago, It's a big help a long with soaking a couple times a day. This medication doesn't make me sleepy. Some meds may not work the same as they do for another. I would do as Rusty suggested.

Methocarbonal helps me. I take it only when needed, when the pain is really bad. Another thing that I realized that helped when the muscle pain gets really bad is my anti-anxiety medication, Lorazapam. I take it only as needed, not daily.  It is the only thing that I find relaxes every muscle in my neck. I've had 3 cervical surgeries so I have a lot of upper back and neck pain.  Hope that helps.
