pillow help

Hi! I've been diagnosed with Fibro 1yr back. My neck and shoulder part ( just below the neck) hurtsa lot. Wat kind of pillow do u suggest or no pillows at all? I sometimes use a standarad rectangular pillow below my knees. Help--

hi lyfsmystry i suffer also with my shoulders neck head an face from my fibro mine gets so bad at times it works its way from shoulders to neck head an jaws an causing my jaws to lock where i cant open my mouth it took 6 different drs an 4 1/2 months of undescribable pain an not being able to open my mouth to eat had to squeeze a straw an suc to get something in my belly im so sorry to hear you have this as well i wouldnt wish this on my worst enemy but finally a specialist realized it was caused from my fibro an gave me 7 greater occiptal nerve block shots 4 in the back the head and 3 in the neck i just had it done yesterday an its got me in alot of pain but i can tell a huge difference in my shoulders already an they said after the pain wears off from the shots that it should stop me from geting migrianes an stiff shoulders an neck maybe you can ask your fibro dr about this cause i do not have a headache today much less a migriane which i get very often an i can tell a huge difference as i stated above in my shoulders ill update you in a few days but in the mean time maybe you can ask your dr if they think it would help i hope this helps you and GOD BLESS YOU i pray you find some kind of comfort i know its hard to do cause i didnt think i would every get rid of my headache much less a migriane

I have similar issues but for many years now.  I've tried all sorts of pillows and several have had some benefit but my favorite, by far, is the Side Sleeper Pro.  Best price is actually direct from them: sidesleeperpro.com.  I think it's designed to help people sleep on their side, which I do at times, but I mostly sleep on my back.  The only downside is that NOBODY sells extra pillow cases that size.  I've used regular king-size cases and body-pillow cases to get enough length but there's a LOT of extra fabric all the way around.  I need to find someone who sews!  Like you, I also use a regular pillow under my thighs/knees when sleeping on my back or between my knees when sleeping on my side.  Good luck!
