pulled muscle

Several days ago, I moved some furniture and my left hip and back hurt.  Now the pain goes from my back to "my left ovary" area.  Is this normal?  It is very painful to move when lying down.

I don't know how I have been doing this, but I have been pulling muslces just walking around school and sometimes in my sleep. I know it has been a while since I have seriously worked out. But my daily walks are never under 2 miles due to my long fast walk around school. But my legs especially my groin muscle and hamstrings are taking a beating.

Hi Lisa - This is the Fibro/CFS forum, but maybe I can help you a bit.  It sounds as if you have pulled a muscle in your groin area.  This is usually a result of lifting something heavy, lifting akwardly/incorrectly or pushing.  Moving is not easy and you may be sore for up to a week.  If it is painful to the point of keeping you awake at night, you may be able to have your physician prescribe a light pain killer.  Otherwise, when you are resting place a warm compress on your stomach area and take an antiflammatory medication for pain.  Try not to do any more lifting until you begin to feel better.

Please take care.
