Flat Feet

I have a four year old son who has flat feet and I would like to know if their is any thing that can be done to correct this?

orthotics can give relief and possibly help his bones/ligaments to develop more correctly...surgery can be an option when he gets a bit older.  a procedure called a subtalar joint arthroesis (where the surgeon places a metal plug in the joint) can help correct the flat foot.
i would bring him to see a podiatrist who specializes in flat foot reconstruction and see what is causing the flat feet.  sometimes, it can result from a bone coalition.  if not, an arthroesis can help tremedously.
