Hypermobility syndrome, tendon gone again!

Hypermobility syndrome, tendon gone again!

I have had a lot of joint pains all my life and a few years ago I had physio and inserts due to a problem with the tendon running from the heel to the toes on both feet.

The have been a lot better but yesterday eve my left tendon suddebly was painfull to put weight on.

It is tender to touch and even with my foot curled and weight only put on outside edge of foot it is still pain full.
I have to walk to work and back each day as my bike needs fixing and as a single parent of an ADHD child I have no time or money.

Should I rest it or struggle on?  Do I need to go back to the docs or just wait for it to heal?
Can it be splinted untill it heals so that I can still walk on it?
It's icy on the floor here too!

Sounds like you have plantar fasciitis.  Arch supports typically help if you have them custom made.  Also, have you gotten an MRI to rule out rupture?
I would get a second opinion.  Sometimes strapping the foot helps and massage with tendon exercises can stregnthen the core foot muscles.  Performing calf stretches and toe curl strengthening exercises sometimes help.  You could also wear a night splint for support.
