Knots in arches in both feet

I am healthy female. Last week i discovered I have knots in both my feet in the arches about size of a dime. Last night I found another knot on one foot. they are completely beneath the skin and they ache. I havent bought any new shoes and none of my shoes have high arches in them. i completely lost on what cld b. i dont have money 2 go to doctor for bunch of tests. has anyone ever heard of something like this? I scared

Lisa, what you have is plantar fibromatosis. Don't worry it is not a dangerous growth but they can cause pain sometimes. An arch support that has been cut out with a hole for each lump may help you. Some topical therapy with Verapamil has been reportedly helpful also. Corticosteroid injections help if the lump is small. Surgery is sometimes needed but you should know that recurrence is a frequent problem.
