Pain 6 months after Endoscopic Plantar fasciotomy

On July 11, 2008 I had a EPF for a ruptured plantar fascia.  My recovery started out ok but has not progressed.  I can walk but only for short distances (under a mile at a time) without unbearable pain.  The surgery site is very tender and I have swelling just in front of the incision site.  I used to run 4 miles a day before the plantar fasciitis.  I kept scaling back until I was just walking before surgery.  Even then I could walk 4-6 miles a day.  The surgeon that did the surgery seems unwilling to help me out.  She has suggested massage therapy.   I really need a solution.  Not a pacifier.  I am gradually gaining weight and getting more and more depressed as time goes by.  I love to run and walk and want to get back to my normal routine.  Its been 6 months and everything I read seems to indicate I should be 100% by now.  If anyone has any idea as to how I can help myself find a solution I could use the input.

I would ask to have an MRI and see why you still have pain.
I would also recommend casting the foot or using a removable cast to offload the foot.
Icing, physical therapy with ultrasound, iontophoresis, or e-stim may help.
Orthotics may help also...but sounds like you need to have the swelling looked at first to determine why you continue to have pain.
