STRESS FRACTURE???

STRESS FRACTURE???

I had an MRI done to check for a stress fracture. I don't see the Orthopedic doctor until Monday. Can you tell me if there is a fracture from the results?
Findings: Marked osteoedema affects the second metatarsal base, most compatible with evolving stress injury without macro fracture at this time. Lisfranc ligament is intact. No additional metatarsal stress injury or macro fracture.
Capsulitis of the MTP articulations is of mild severity with low grade intermetatarsal bursitis. No Freiberg infraction.
Flexor and extensor tendon complexes are intact. Plantar fascia is intact.
Low grade subtalar arthrosis is noted. No soft tissue mass.
Impression: MR class 2-3 stress injury throughout the second metatarsal base and shaft with associated soft tissue swelling. No macro fracture is present at this time.
I'm just wondering if this means there is a small hairline fracture as i know Macro means large.
Thank you for taking the time to review.

sounds like a stress fracture (small hairline fracture) or bone bruise.  i would have to compare the findings with how painful the area feels when i press on it.
