UGLIEST Feet and Toenails, EVER - Is there any HOPE??

I have broken my two baby toes and 2nd to last toe several times.  One of my baby toes is pretty deformed as a result.  I no longer have toe nails on either of my baby toes, I suspect from wearing tight fitting, pointy toed high heels for years.  My big toes are AWFUL.  I completely lost my big toenail on my left foot about 6 years ago from an injury and it has never been the same since. It sustained several infections, especially at the edges and in the cuticle (swollen, red, painful, pus came out) from reinjury.   It started growing back with a tiny vertical white line running from the cuticle to the tip, however the more it grew, it would eventually start to split down that line and I kept having to cut it to keep it from being jagged.  Then, I am failry sure I developed a fungus under it - the nail was yellow and would separate from the skin underneath.  I think I finally got that under control, but don't know for sure.  Now, that toenail barely gets longer than maybe a quarter of an inch, it still splits when it grows and just eventually breaks.  The skin on the side of the toenail, under the nail and above the nail edge is hard, thick and dead.  It has a yellow hue to it under the nail, but it no longer flakes or separates like when I had the fungal infection.  When my feet get wet, the skin on this toe and several of the others that have the same hard, think almost callused-like appearance, turns white.  When it's wet, it turns white and can be partially scrubbed off in the shower with a pumice stone, but not all of it, and in the next day or two, what I scrubbed off seems to reappear.  Seems like the dead skin just never goes away.  I have very thin and fragile finger and toenails to begin with, so basically, it seems like the damaged skin under my nails warps and my nails become warped as a result.  Is there ANYTHING I can do to help any part of this?  PLEASE - I avoid so many situations in my life due to the fear of anyone seeing my feet.
