burning tearing pain with numbness

burning tearing pain with numbness

I have been having a burning-tearing pain in my foot for about a month. The pain is on the top of my right foot between the fourth and little toe. I experience a sudden painful tearing-burning pain followed by numbness that lasts for a few minutes. I only get the pain if I bend my toes toward the bottom of my foot like I would if I was going to sit on my feet.

I was diagnosed in high school with chronic tendonitis w/ bursitis in both heels this condition only bothers me occasionally and is minimal discomfort (3 or 4). This new pain, although brief is at least an 8.

I have been in spinning classes for 8 months or so and have not had any pain associated with that. I wear wide shoes and I rarely wear heels.

you may have a nerve impingement that gets exacerbated with flexing the toes.
make sure there is not an infection in the interspace that could be causing the pain.
if the pain doesn't subside, go to a podiatrist to have it evaluated.  in the meantime, don't bend the toe and ice the area 10 min daily.  hopefully, whatever is irritated can calm down.
