daughters 4th toe on each foot is small

hi there i have a 12 year old daughter who has a chromosone 2 abnormality and autism. on each of her feet her fourth toe is small and sticks up. we can not get shoes to fit properly so she lives in trainers. is there a diagnosis known for this problem, as on her hands the fourth finger is smaller than the rest as well.

it sounds like your daughter has a shortened 4th metatarsal bone.  this is a normal finding in people with down's syndrome, and turner's syndrome.  it can also appear in people who have no chromosomal defects, but less uncommon.
when the metatarsal bones fail to lengthen adequately, the toes start to "****" up.  you can try having the shoes stretched by a shoe repair store to accommodate the toe.  if you want a more definitive solution, she can have the bone lengthened with a callus distractor device, which is usually a very successful procedure.
i would get an x-ray of the foot to see where the deficiency stems.
