foot pain

Sudden, sharp , stabbing pain on the top right side of my right foot. No trauma of any kind. Just feels like a brick was dropped on that part of my foot! Two days now with no relief. No swelling or redness, just bad pain.. I'm stumped and hurting. Anyone have any ideas???

get an x-ray.  you may have a stress fracture.  this can happen if you are a runner, or high heel wearer.
if the pain doesn't go away within a week of taking advil (600 mg every 6 hours) and icing, go get an xray or MRI.
