3 Yr. Old-Acid Reflux, Chronic Constipation, Abdominal Pain, Recurring 102-104.1 Fevers, recurring Pharyngitis "viral illness"

My son is almost 3 yrs old. When he was first born the Dr's told me he had colic, but then treated him for Acid Reflux from 6wks-16 mos. old. He has always had abdominal pain & chronic constipation. He gets high fevers and "viruses" anywhere from 3x a month to every other month. Pediatrician has been NO HELP. He has also been to 2 Gastro Drs that have been no help. No upper GI or Lower GI Series Tests have been done. Blood work came back negative for Celiac. We just went to see an ENT yesterday (for repeated pharyngitis w/ high fevers & abdominal pain-I thought it may be tonsillitis) - ENT advised that tonsils & adenoids (adenoids) are fine, but throat is burned from untreated acid reflux (just found out he has had acid reflux that has been untreated since he was 16 mos. old).  My son has to continue to take Miralax EVERY DAY for constipation. Is there an underlying illness that can cause Abdominal Pain, Acid Reflux, Chronic Constipation, Recurring high fevers (often 104 degrees for 3-5 days) and pharyngitis (red swollen tonsils w/ white spots)? This is going on since birth and I think these symptoms must all be related somehow. PLEASE HELP!!

The constipation is from acid blockers causing a poor absorption of nutrients.  Get the book, WHY STOMACH ACID IS GOOD FOR YOU.  He also may have a bug in his gastrointestinal stomach, because acid blockers inhibit the protective mechanism in the stomach, leaving it open to different pathogens like helicobacter pylori bacterial infection - have him tested for it!  There is a high incidence of stomach cancer among patients taking acid suppressors.  Reflux meds do not correct the problem but make it worse.  The problem is poor digestion...he needs MORE acid, NOT less!
