ACID REFLUX

Hi. Since 7 years, i have burning sensation in my stomach. I took prescription when i was in saudi arabia, it was about 2 years before, as below.
1. OMEPRAZOLE 20mg
2. DOMPERIDONE TABLETS AND SUSPENSION 10mg
I had these tablets only for ten days out of 20 days prescription. And the doctor advised me to keep away from the spicy food saying i would become alright. From that day onwards, I have substantially reduced my intake of spicy food. Out of this prescription, I had somewhat relief rather than complete recovery. This burning sensation is acute when i go to sleep enough to disturb my sound sleep for 3 hours, while this sensation is not at all felt in the day time or working hours. From introspection, this burning sensation starts exactly from 8 inches below of my throat and it is acute in 11.5 inches below of my throat, let me say this is as a burning sensation hub. Moreover, i realize this inconvenience when i sleep either with my stomach touching on the bed or with my back touching on the bed. Consequently, it makes me to sit on the bed for a while to get temporary relief and again tries to take sleep.

I seek your valuable advise on my problem.

You may want to try propping pillows or mattress up so you sleep in semi incline position.

Maybe your Dr would allow you to try Carafate to take before bed which may help the lining of your esophagus.
