Acid Reflux baby and low muscle tone

Anyone out there have an acid reflux child who also has low muscle tone? I stopped giving my 8 month old tummy time when his acid reflux got considerably worse and now I feel responsible for his delayed motor skills

Anyone else experience this issue?

How is your baby doing now? I have twins with reflux and low muscle tone and I wanted to know how things are going for you.  They are both getting PT now but I also don't notice much improvement.

How long does it take to go away?  He is in physical therapy now for the low muscle tone issue and I really don't see too much progress

Yes, it is very common.  Please be sure your ped is on top of all develomental milestones to be certain there's no delay.  The muscle tone can also affect the muscle responsible for the reflux problem in the first place and when all gets caught up sometime the reflux will go away, too!
