Acid Reflux problems?

by codone, Feb 07, 2009 09:34PM
Can acid reflux cause tingling in the face, and arm? I have acid reflux as well as a hiatal hernia. I thought I was having a stroke the other night. I went to the ER and they told me it was cause of my reflux. I have never had this problem before. Could spotted vision, tingling in arm, and head really be because of acid reflux?

Hi,
Tingling sensations in the face, arm and head are not symptoms of GERD and hiatal hernia.

I have gerd, and have also experienced the tingling that you mention.....mine was like a all over body tingling that lasted for 1 - 2 hours...not painful, just very weird feeling that kind of freaks you out.....I believe that I have food allergy or intolerance to certain foods....did some research and have taken gluten and most diary out of my diet........feeling much better - also now see naturopath which has been a good experience.  Try keeping a food diary for a month - mark down everything that you eat or drink and record any symptoms that you may have....can help to narrow down the foods that may be causing these reactions....good luck - I know how disconcerting those feelings can be.
